'Flash' Gordon

Another old drawing from my RPG heyday, back when I was running regular weekly games with a group of four people. Seems like such a long time ago now.

This is an NPC from the BattleTech campaign I ran, a mercenary MechWarrior called ‘Flash’ Gordon. Formerly with the Waco Rangers regiment, she went independent and signed up with the players’ company. Her nickname of ‘Flash’ stems from her preference for energy weapons and speed in her machines. For all you 'Mech junkies out there, I'd say she would pilot a Lancelot or maybe a Battle Hawk.

I guess if I was to revive the character and look for a casting for the part of ‘Flash’, I’d go for Jaime Pressly from My Name is Earl. Her character, Joy, showing up to Church dressed in a denim bikini seems to fit. The Waco Rangers as a whole just suggests a mob of trailer-park characters to me.
